Regulations for the Collection and Use of Personal Information

Applications submitted through this recruitment homepage will be received and managed by the company where you submit the application (hereinafter referred to as a recruitment company) and the responsibility for managing the application will be placed with the recruitment company. Applicants have the right to disagree with the following personal information provided. However, the information provided through the application is an essential item for the recruitment and selection of the recruitment company. If the information is not provided, the company cannot proceed with a fair selection process. Therefore, if you do not agree to provide the following personal information, you may be restricted from hiring and selection. The applicant's right to refuse consent and any disadvantages of refusal of consent shall apply to all agreements presented below.

    • CV, resume, cover letter, previous work experience, and education information;

    • knowledge, skills, and abilities; 

    • Professional and other work-related licenses, permits and certifications held; 

    • Disability and veteran status; 

    • information relating to character and employment references; and 

    • any other information you elect to provide to us (e.g. employment preferences, current salary, desired salary, awards or professional membership);

       

  2. ​Purpose of collection and Utilization​
     

    • We collect and process information about you for one or more of the following reasons:

      • Because this information is necessary to take steps at your request prior to your employment;

      • Because this information is of particular importance to us, and we have a specific legitimate interest under law to process it; 

      • To comply with a legal obligation; or

      • Where necessary to protect the vital interests of you or any person.

    • Where the collection or processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw your consent at any time to the extent permitted by applicable law. 

    • The information that you submit on the Chips&Media Site or otherwise share with our Talent Acquisition specialists will be used for Chips&Media's personnel recruitment, management, and planning purposes, as permitted by applicable law: ​

      • To process your application​

      • To assess your capabilities and qualifications. We may use automated programs for proactive sourcing of candidates by evaluating candidates' career profiles against job requirements, resulting in a pre-selected candidate pool; for job applicant screening by evaluating candidate responses to assessments; resulting in deselection of candidates who do not meet minimum requirements. 

      • To conduct reference checks

      • To respond to your inquiries and communicate with you about your application, and to send you information regarding the Careers Site and changes to our terms and policies.

      • To comply with or monitor compliance with any applicable law or regulation. 

    • Consistent with applicable law, the information about you will be added to our Careers system(s) or database(s) and can be retained and used to consider you for opportunities at Chips&Media for which you apply. We may contact you by email or by phone about the other opportunities that may be aligned with our needs and your interests. If you do not wish us to do this, please contact us via the contact link at the top of our website navigation bar.

       

  3. Retention and utilization of Personal Information
     

    We will retain personal information for ​the period necessary, generally up to 1 month, to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Policy. The personal information is discarded immediately after the purpose of its collection and use has been achieved. However, the personal information of the job applicant shall be stored in the Company's human resource database for regular employment occasions if the recruitment is required. However, if the applicant wishes his/her personal information to be deleted, the Company shall delete said information without delay. ​

제 3조 (개인정보의 보유 및 이용 기간)

 지원서 상에 작성하신 개인정보는 회사의 인재채용을 위한 채용전형 및 필요 시 인재풀에 활용될 예정이며, 입사지원서 제출일로부터 3년까지 보관됩니다. 단, 지원자께서 삭제를 요청하실 경우 개인정보는 그 즉시 삭제됩니다.

제 4조 (동의거부 권리 안내)

 정보주체는 개인정보 수집·이용 동의를 거부 할 수 있습니다. 다만, 이 경우 채용절차를 진행하는데 제한이 있을 수 있습니다. 

※ 수집된 개인정보는 포털시스템을 이용하기 위한 정보 이외의 용도로 이용되지 않으며, 제 3자에게 제공하지 않습니다.
